Built in 1895, Milwaukee City Hall was once the tallest building in the United States! This Flemish Renaissance Revival masterpiece houses the mayor’s office, common council chambers, and multiple city departments. 393-foot bell tower (still impressive today) Survived a major fire in 1929 Houses both ceremonial spaces and working government offices Public tours available (when not hosting municipal conferences!) Fun fact: The building’s architect also designed the Wisconsin State Capitol.
