Romanesque Revival building completed in 1894 as UW’s Armory and Gymnasium and often called a red brick castle. It hosted the pivotal 1904 Wisconsin Republican convention linked to Robert La Follette’s Progressive reforms. It currently houses the Morgridge Center for Public Service, Multicultural Student Center, International Student Services, and LGBT Campus Center, among other entities..
